Medical Myth Busters

You and your partner will choose one myth and find a number of reliable resources to prove if your myth is true or false. Think carefully about the myth and how it relates to at least one of the body systems we have learned about in class.  You may also select a myth of your own that is not listed here.  (Please check with your teacher before beginning your research.) You will be required to create a video and animation that demonstrates your findings!  See the project rubric below.

Part 1: Research
Find at least 3 reliable websites to determine whether your myth can be TRUSTED or is BUSTED. Use this document to show the websites you used, what you learned from each and why you think they are reliable sources of information.

Part 2: Storyboard
Create a storyboard for your animation. Remember your animation should show the function of a body system that relates to your myth. See the example below for the myth "Chocolate causes pimples."

Part 3: Create Animation
Now it is time to create your animation. You will use one the following apps: 

• Explain Everything ($2.99 USD) 
• Doceri (free)

Please take a few minutes to a watch video tutorial for Explain Everything or Doceri if you are not familiar with these apps.If you have another screencasting app that you would like to use, check with your teacher. Note that you need to be able to upload your final animation to your Google Drive in video format.
